Real Madrid open to summer sale of 3 players

La Liga giants Real Madrid are ready to sanction departures for three members of the club’s first-team ranks before the summer is out.

That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Sunday provided an insight into the situation.

Real Madrid have of course been active on the market thus far this summer, having brought in all of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen, Franco Mastantuono and Álvaro Carreras.

Owing to as much, Xabi Alonso is now faced with a squad which looks bloated in certain areas.

Before the summer is out, the intention of Florentino Pérez and co. is therefore to shift some of those no longer considered first-choice.

And with as much in mind, three players find themselves on the chopping block in Spain’s capital.

As per a report from AS, in an ideal world, Real Madrid would part with all of David Alaba, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo over the weeks ahead.

Whether such a plan is in any way realistic, however, remains to be seen.
