La Liga giants Real Madrid are ready to open the door to a departure for Rodrygo over the months ahead.
That’s according to The Athletic, who have confirmed that the Brazilian’s future in Spain’s capital is far from secure.
Frontman Rodrygo’s name has of course continued to dominate the headlines at Real Madrid over recent weeks.
As much comes with a whole host of reports pointing towards an incoming Blancos departure for the 24-year-old having been followed by Rodrygo badly struggling for game-time at the Club World Cup.
Across his side’s last three outings, the versatile attacker has managed less than 30 minutes total playing time.
And as much, it would appear, comes for good reason…
As per a report from Real Madrid insider Mario Cortegana of The Athletic:
‘Real Madrid and coach Xabi Alonso are open to Brazil forward Rodrygo leaving the club this summer. Sources at the club, speaking anonymously to protect relationships, have told The Athletic that Madrid and the coach agree the club will not stand in the player’s way if a suitable offer is made.’
Arsenal, as things stand, remain the club most interested in a deal for Rodrygo.
