La Liga giants Real Madrid are all set to add to the club’s defensive options at reserve level before the summer transfer window is out. This comes amid the understanding that Oscar Naasei is on the verge of penning terms in Spain’s capital.
Naasei, for his part, is a Ghanaian defender, capable of taking to the pitch at either centre-back or right-back. The 21-year-old has spent the last couple of seasons making a name for himself on the books of Granada, now considered one of the first names on the team sheet of the Nazaríes.

Last summer, the aforementioned Real Madrid expressed a keen interest in bringing Naasei to Valdebebas, to take over the young stopper’s development.
And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media early this week is anything to go by, then Los Blancos, a full 12 months later, finally look set to land their man.
As per a report from Diario AS:
‘Real Madrid continues its hunt for young stars and, as AS has learned, are close to finalizing the signing of Óscar Naasei Oppong, a Ghanaian defender who will arrive on a permanent deal for Castilla.’
