The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid have made a call on the immediate future of youngster Franco Mastantuono.
This comes amid the understanding that the Argentine will be going nowhere following the turn of the year.
Mastantuono’s name has emerged as a prominent one in the media chatter surrounding Real Madrid over recent weeks.
Amid something of a drop in prominence for the summer arrival in Xabi Alonso’s squad, it had been suggested that Mastantuono could be loaned out to secure for himself more consistent playing time.
If the latest word stemming from the media on Sunday is anything to go by, however, then no such transfer is in fact on the cards.
As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:
‘Reports of Franco Mastantuono leaving Real Madrid on loan in January are described as wide of mark. Xabi Alonso and the club see Franco as key part of the project.’
