Former Real Madrid star Guti has this week moved to make clear his appreciation for the talents of current Blancos talent Arda Güler.
This comes fresh off comparisons being drawn between the two players by none other than Xabi Alonso.
Speaking during a press conference this week, Real Madrid’s headmaster was drawn on the similarities between Arda and former teammate Mesut Özil.
And Alonso, in his response, made use of the opportunity to highlight the name of Guti, too:
“Güler is like a mix between Özil and Guti. The more he participates and the more we find him, the game improves. We need to keep supporting him, but we are very pleased with his weight and maturity in the game.”
During his own appearance in front of the media on Wednesday, Guti was himself therefore questioned on Arda’s talents.
And the Spaniard, speaking to La Liga, was not shy in revealing his take that:
“I’m sure Arda Güler will surpass my career at Real Madrid. I have no doubt about it.”
