Real Madrid legend appears to aim dig at new Liverpool signing Isak

Former Real Madrid star Toni Kroos has this week aimed something of a dig at new big-money Liverpool signing Alexander Isak.

This comes amid the suggestion that the Swede is perhaps not as globally recognised as a top player as some may think.

Frontman Isak of course dominated the global football headlines approaching this week’s transfer deadline.

As much came after word was forthcoming that the long-term efforts of Liverpool to bring the 25-year-old in from Newcastle United had finally borne fruit.

The Anfield brass splashed out an alleged €145 million on the signing of the one-time Real Sociedad hitman.

As alluded to above, though, one individual who appears less than impressed by the signing comes in the form of Toni Kroos.

Speaking on his personal podcast, Einfach mal Luppen, this week, Real Madrid legend Kroos explained:

“Isak joining Liverpool for a lot of money? I trust our listeners, but I would tell you that, more or less, half have never heard of Isak. Judge for yourself. Seriously.”
