La Liga giants Real Madrid have drawn up a shortlist of potential targets to add to the club’s ranks in the middle of the park.
That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Monday provided an insight into the situation.
Those behind the scenes in Spain’s capital, it is understood, remain on the lookout for a player capable of stepping into Xabi Alonso’s midfield, to make an immediate impact.
Los Blancos have over the last 12 months bid farewell to both Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić, leaving Alonso’s engine room looking somewhat short-handed.
Florentino Pérez and co. are therefore doing their due diligence, ready to splash the cash in the case of the right profile becoming available on the market.
And with as much in mind, a list featuring the names of four midfielders is now ‘on the table’ at the Santiago Bernabéu.
As per a report from AS, this list consists of:
Rodri (Manchester City), Enzo Fernández (Chelsea), Nicolò Barella (Inter Milan) and Alexis Mac Allister (Liverpool).
It is also noted, though, that as of this moment, deals for any of these four are considered highly unlikely.
