Real Madrid handed timely positive injury news for Rayo Vallecano clash

La Liga leaders Real Madrid have been afforded some timely positive news on the personnal front on Thursday.

This comes amid confirmation that Federico Valverde is expected to be available to play his part in the club’s upcoming meeting with Rayo Vallecano.

Midfielder Valverde for his part set alarm bells sounding in Spain’s capital earlier this week.

This came upon the Uruguayan admitting that his premature withdrawal from Real Madrid’s meeting with Liverpool came as a result of an injury scare.

With Aurélien Tchouaméni having since been condemned to an incoming spell on the treatment table, a similar diagnosis for Valverde would in turn have come as a heavy blow for Xabi Alonso and co.

All of a Blancos persuasion will therefore no doubt have breathed a collective sigh of relief on Thursday.

As per a report from club insider Melchor Ruiz of COPE, Valverde ‘has no injury’. The versatile midfielder, who has spent recent weeks filling in at right-back, will therefore be ready to face Rayo Vallecano this weekend.
