Real Madrid handed double injury boost ahead of Athletic Club clash

Fans of La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Wednesday been afforded some altogether encouraging news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that two players to have been labelled injury doubts for the upcoming round of fixtures in Spain’s top-flight are now expected to be available.

First, and most notably, comes Eduardo Camavinga.

Midfielder Camavinga set alarm bells ringing across Madrid late on Tuesday night.

As much came upon the 21-year-old limping out of France’s international friendly meeting with Chile, inside the opening 45 minutes.

As confirmed by the reliable Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, though, Camavinga has ‘avoided a serious injury’.

In fact, having been diagnosed with a mild ankle sprain, the Frenchman is expected to be at the disposal of head coach Carlo Ancelotti for Real’s meeting with Athletic Club this weekend.

And joining Camavinga in contention for Sunday’s Santiago Bernabéu clash is Dani Ceballos.

Fellow midfielder Ceballos was absent from the matchday setup for Los Blancos’ final pre-international break outing, owing to an ongoing fitness problem.

As showcased below, though, photos stemming from Valdebebas on Wednesday have confirmed that the former Arsenal man is back in training alongside the rest of Real’s squad, in a further boost to Carlo Ancelotti’s engine room ranks:
