Real Madrid fans target one player with boos during Alavés clash

Sections of the crowd in attendance at La Liga giants Real Madrid’s meeting with Deportivo Alavés have made clear their ongoing frustration with one of the club’s stars.

The player in question? Vinícius Jr.

Wide-man Viní has of course endured a tumultuous campaign to date, singled out for regular criticism on the part of the Blancos faithful.

Whilst continuing to showcase flashes of his unquestionable brilliance, the Brazilian has also struggled for consistency, too often failing to deliver when his teammates need him most.

Real Madrid were of course sent packing from the Champions League in hugely frustrating fashion last week, at the hands of Bayern Munich.

As often proves the case at the Bernabéu, some form of backlash against the club’s stars was therefore expected upon their return to action against Alavés this evening.

And as alluded to above, precisely as much has since been noted, with Vinícius the chief target.

During the early exchanges in Spain’s capital on Tuesday, the 25-year-old was repeatedly whistled by sections of the home crowd upon taking possession of the ball.
