Supporters of La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Saturday evening sent a collective message to head coach Xabi Alonso, regarding the place of Vinícius Jr. in the club’s penalty kick pecking order.
This comes after the Brazilian was responsible for fluffing his lines from 12 yards during Los Blancos’ meeting with Valencia.
After Real Madrid won a 2nd penalty of the first-half this evening, Kylian Mbappé was afforded the chance to round out his hat-trick.
In an act of selflessness, however, the Frenchman handed the ball to attacking partner in crime Vinícius.
The latter, from here, stepped up, only to see his disappointing effort comfortably kept out.
And as alluded to above, as much has since given rise to a swift and widespread reaction on the part of those of a Blancos persuasion.
With Vinícius having proven once again that he can’t be trusted from 12 yards, Real Madrid’s fans have called for Xabi Alonso to remove the 25-year-old from the club’s designated list of penalty takers.
