A group of Real Madrid supporters have on Tuesday forwarded a message the way of club icon Zinedine Zidane.
This comes in the form of something of a plea, for the Frenchman to return to the Spanish capital for the latest occasion.
The bench at the Santiago Bernabéu was of course made vacant for the latest occasion early this week.
After Real Madrid were condemned to a hard-fought defeat at the hands of arch rivals Barcelona in the finale of the Spanish Super Cup, the mutual call was made for Xabi Alonso to depart.
Álvaro Arbeloa, in turn, has since been appointed Los Blancos’ new first-team head coach.
Most, though, are of the opinion that this will prove to be only a temporary solution, whilst Florentino Pérez and co. fish for a more established name on the market.
And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, one section of fans made clear their preference when it comes to the tactician who should be tasked with leading Real forward into a new era.
A banner was unveiled at Valdebebas this afternoon, reading:
‘Zizou (Zinedine Zidane), the ship is sinking, COME BACK.’
