Widespread sections of the fanbase at La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Sunday made clear their feelings that their side are a superior collective threat without star goalscorer Kylian Mbappé.
This of course comes fresh off a dominant victory for Los Blancos.
Xabi Alonso’s troops marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Real Betis to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash.
When all was said and done, Real emerged on the right side of a 5-1 result, to inch their way back towards table-topping Barcelona.
And all of this came without the contributions of the aforementioned Kylian Mbappé…
Sidelined for the evening through injury, the Frenchman was forced to watch on as understudy Gonzalo García proved himself the star of the show courtesy of a hat-trick.
This came amid a stellar all-round attacking display for Alonso’s men.
And as alluded to above, many of a Blancos persuasion have since reached the same conclusion as a result: that their side are simply a better one when Kylian Mbappé is not on the pitch:
