Supporters of Real Madrid have on Monday made clear their collective bemusement with the decision of FIFA to sanction the upcoming La Liga meeting between Villarreal and Barcelona to be played in the USA.
It has of course proven to be something of a historic day to date in Spain to date.
This comes after word was forthcoming that an unprecedented decision has been made in La Liga.
Following a long-term push for the upcoming meeting between Villarreal and Barcelona to be played in Florida, UEFA ‘reluctantly’ announced their backing for the project.
The fixture, scheduled for December 21st, will in turn be contested at the Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, becoming the first of its kind in La Liga.
Many have since been quick to make clear their disillusionment with UEFA’s ruling, of the belief that a dangerous precedent is being set.
And chief amongst the protestors are those of a Real Madrid persuasion.
Of the opinion that La Liga are handing Barcelona an unfair advantage in allowing one of the club’s toughest away fixtures to be played at a neutral venue, the Blancos faithful have been quick to hit out.
