Real Madrid fans handed Rodrygo injury update before Barcelona showdown

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Saturday been afforded some altogether welcome news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that Rodrygo is expected to be available to feature from the off in the club’s upcoming meeting with Barcelona.

Frontman Rodrygo for his part played a starring role once more in midweek, as Real Madrid booked a place in the finale of the Spanish Super Cup courtesy of a 2-1 downing of city rivals Atlético.

Along the way, however, the in-form Brazilian suffered a fitness problem.

Rodrygo was spotted departing the stadium post-match sporting heavy bandaging around his knee, throwing his status for El Clásico up in the air.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then the Blancos faithful need not worry.

As per a report from journalist Miguel Angel Diaz:

‘Rodrygo has no hamstring injury and will be available.’

Antonio Rüdiger is also hopeful of shaking off an injury complaint to take his place in Real Madrid’s XI on Sunday evening.
