Real Madrid eyeing Nottingham Forest star as ‘key signing’ for next season

La Liga giants Real Madrid have identified Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson as a leading transfer target with a view to next season.

That’s according to Fichajes, who have this weekend provided an insight into the somewhat surprising speculation.

Real Madrid, it is understood, remain on the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park.

Still working to properly replace the departed Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić, and with Dani Ceballos’ future uncertain, a whole host of midfielders from across the world of football are currently being monitored by Florentino Pérez and co.

And chief amongst them, as alluded to above, is England international Elliot Anderson.

According to Fichajes, Los Blancos consider the 22-year-old, due to his age, abilities on both sides of the ball, and room for growth, the ideal engine room addition.

A move for Anderson in the summer of 2026 is therefore being carefully studied in the Santiago Bernabéu boardroom.

Nottingham Forest, for their part, would be ready to demand in excess of €70 million to sanction a sale.
