La Liga giants Real Madrid have set sights on the signature of one of French football’s next great hopes.
The player on the transfer radar of Los Blancos? Jérémy Jacquet.
Jacquet, for his part, is a 20-year-old defender, who is currently making waves in his home country of France on the books of Stade Rennais.
Despite his tender years, the starlet is already one of the first names on the team sheet at Rennes, as evidenced by his 15 league starts thus far this season.
Jacquet has long been hailed for defensive prowess, considered a potential star in the making by regular viewers of Ligue 1.
And as alluded to above, such talents have now earned for the youngster some admiring glances by way of one of Spanish football’s leading clubs.
As per a report from transfer insider Matteo Moretto (cited by Madrid Xtra on X), Real Madrid are ‘closely watching’ Jacquet.
Los Blancos are known to be on the lookout for reinforcements at centre-back with a view to next season, with the Rennes standout one profile under consideration.
