Real Madrid & Espanyol fans unite to aim abusive chants at Barcelona

Members of the respective fanbases at Real Madrid and Espanyol came together to target a common enemy on Saturday.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Barcelona as the victims of the abuse in question.

Real and Espanyol of course locked horns earlier today, in a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, the former emerged on the right side of a 2-0 result, courtesy of goals on the part of Éder Militão and Kylian Mbappé.

As alluded to above, though, it was developments in the stands, rather than on the pitch, which have since grabbed headlines across Spain.

As much comes after the away fans in attendance at the Santiago Bernabéu kicked into gear chants of ‘Puta Barca! Puta Barca!’ (F**k Barca).

Such chants were then quickly echoed by the Real Madrid faithful, culminating in stadium-wide abuse in the direction of the reigning Spanish champions.

Upon the shouts finally dying down, they were followed by widespread applause across the Bernabéu.
