Real Madrid continuing to work on double free agent signing for next season

The transfer team at La Liga giants Real Madrid are actively working towards tying up agreements with two high-profile incoming free agents.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alphonso Davies as the pair in question.

The name of Liverpool star Alexander-Arnold has of course dominated the headlines in Spain over recent days, amid a concerted public push on the part of Real Madrid towards his signing.

On the other hand, though, talk around that of fellow full-back Davies has gone somewhat quiet of late.

After it at one point looked a near certainty that the Canadian international was set to take his talents to the Santiago Bernabéu upon the expiration of his Bayern Munich contract in the summer, murmurs had since spread that Davies could yet be convinced to stay put.

So, what is Real Madrid’s current stance on the left-back’s addition?

As per the aforementioned Relevo:

‘In addition to the Alexander-Arnold case, Real Madrid have to finish elucidating the Alphonso Davies case, which is more open, but which they also want to crystallize in the form of a signing.’
