Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho has moved to distance himself from any and all comments regarding the situation of Cristiano Ronaldo at present.
This of course comes amid a controversy-filled last 24 hours for his fellow countryman.
Left bemused by the public response of Portugal boss Jorge Jesus to his status as an unused substitute against Norway earlier this week, Ronaldo, out of the blue, departed his country’s national team camp on Wednesday.
The 41-year-old has since received a mixed reaction on the part of the football world, amid a wave of criticism and support alike.
One individual who is yet to provide any public take on the matter, though, is the aforementioned José Mourinho. After seeing his name linked to comments surrounding the Ronaldo saga on Thursday, the iconic tactician took to social media, to write:
‘FN… Too much news about my comments on CR/FPF/National coach case. Fake news. No comments.’
