Real Madrid boss Ancelotti confirms Éder Militão return plan

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has, on Saturday, provided an insight into his plans for the returning Éder Militão.

The name of defender Militão has taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital across the day to date.

As much comes after the Brazilian, sidelined since all the way back in August owing to an ACL injury, was included in Real’s latest matchday squad.

Los Blancos are primed to play host to Athletic Club on Sunday night, with Militão, at the very least, set to take his place on the bench for the clash.

Could the 26-year-old, though, go on to take to the pitch against Athletic, too?

Speaking in a press conference on Saturday, it came as little surprise when the subject of as much was put to head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

And the Italian’s response is no doubt set to spark excitement across the fanbase of Real Madrid.

This comes with Ancelotti having confirmed:

“It could be that I give him minutes tomorrow. His knee is very good, he needs to play. He has recovered very well. But he needs time to return to his level.”
