Real Madrid & Arda Güler disagree on plans for 2nd half of season

A fresh insight into the short-term future of Real Madrid star Arda Güler has been provided late this evening.

The info comes by way of Diario Sport, who point towards Güler being in line for a potential January exit from the club.

Güler, for his part, has of course endured a difficult start to life in Spain’s capital, since his arrival from Turkish giants Fenerbahce last summer.

Owing to a string of fitness problems, he has to date been restricted to just a pair of appearances in the colours of Real.

After again being overlooked en route to the club’s comeback victory over Almería last weekend, the midfield prodigy, in turn, made clear his frustration, throwing his bib to the ground at the Santiago Bernabéu.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, Güler’s playing time, in Madrid at least, looks unlikely to increase all that much any time soon.

As per the aforementioned Sport, Carlo Ancelotti is of the opinion that the 18-year-old does not yet possess the physical tools to carve out a consistent role for himself in the Italian’s first-choice XI.

In turn, discussions have been held at board level, over the possibility of farming Güler out on loan.

It is an option which is understood to be ‘viewed very favourably’ by the Real brass, who are keen for the club’s gifted young midfielder to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Brahim Díaz, in garnering first-team experience elsewhere, before returning to base more prepared for a starting berth.

The problem, however, is that Güler himself is dead set on staying put, to fight for his place at the Bernabéu over the 2nd half of the term.

It now remains to be seen whether a compromise between the parties can be found.
