Arda Güler is being touted as the next big thing in Turkey and several teams across Europe are interested in the Fenerbaçhe attacking midfielder, including Real Madrid, report AS.
The teenager made 35 appearances for Fenerbaçhe last campaign, producing six goals and seven assists. In the Turkish Cup final, the 18-year-old came up with an assist, as well as taking home the Man of the Match award, in what could be his final game for the club.
With a release clause of €18m, clubs are queuing up to land the young talent, who is being likened to Mesut Özil. Along with Real Madrid, Sevilla, Benfica, Inter, Milan and various Premier League clubs are amongst the interested parties, AS claim.
However, Güler’s previous coach, Erol Tokgözler has spoken on Turkish radio station Radyo Gol, and he explained that he has recently spoken with the player’s father.
“From what I understand from his father, it seems like Germany will be [his destination]. It could be Dortmund, or it could be Leipzig,” Tokgözer said.
