Real Madrid 2-0 Borussia Dortmund: UCL final player ratings

La Liga giants Real Madrid are champions of Europe once more.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops made the trip to Wembley a short time ago, for a European showcase clash with German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund.

Throughout much of the matchup, it was the latter who looked the better side, dominating when it came to possession and chances created alike.

As has proven the case time and time again on the continent this season, however, when all was said and done, Real Madrid simply found a way to get the job done.

First, a little over 15 minutes from time, Dani Carvajal connected with Toni Kroos’ corner from the left, to direct a fine header into the far corner.

Then, as proceedings moved inside the final ten minutes, Ian Maatsen’s careless mistake was capitalised on by Jude Bellingham, who rolled in Vinícius Jr. to slot home his 24th goal of another remarkable campaign.

And this is how things remained through the final whistle in London, as Real Madrid lifted their record-extending 15th Champions League title.

On another historic night for football’s biggest club, our player ratings, in turn, are showcased below:

Thibaut Courtois – 7, Dani Carvajal – 7.5, Antonio Rüdiger – 7, Nacho – 6.5, Ferland Mendy – 7, Eduardo Camavinga – 8, Toni Kroos – 8.5, Federico Valverde – 7, Jude Bellingham – 6.5, Vinícius Jr – 7.5, Rodrygo – 5.5
