A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga outfit Real Betis has this weekend sparked concern amongst the club’s supporters.
This comes after he was spotted making use of a pair of crutches to walk.
The player in question? Ez Abde.
Wide-man Abde was for his part forced into a premature departure from Betis’ final outing of the season, a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Chelsea in the Europa Conference League final.
The 23-year-old was nevertheless called up by Morocco for the international break, with a view to friendly meetings with Tunisia, and Benin.
Abde, however, after missing the former fixture, will play no part in the latter, either.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of Marca that, prior to Morocco’s 2-0 downing of Tunisia, the ex-Barcelona talent arrived to the Fez Stadium on crutches.
The exact extent of Abde’s injury remains unclear, but all of a Real Betis persuasion will no doubt be hopeful of the attacker recovering as soon as possible.
