Real Betis secure €20m striker deal

La Liga outfit Real Betis have this week sewn up an agreement to add to the club’s options in the attacking third. This comes amid confirmation of Republic of Ireland international Troy Parrott preparing to take his talents to Seville.

Frontman Parrott has for his part been linked with a departure from current employers AZ Alkmaar throughout the summer window to date.

After a stellar campaign in 2025/26, giving rise to 43 goal contributions across all competitions, the 24-year-old was earmarked as a potential signing by a whole host of clubs across the continent.

And as alluded to above, this week, one such suitor have beaten out the stiff competition to close a definitive agreement with the AZ Alkmaar brass.

As per a report from transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano, Real Betis are all set to bring Parrott to La Liga in a €20 million deal:

‘Real Betis agree deal to sign Troy Parrott as new striker, here we go! Deal in place for €20m fee and documents being exchanged between clubs with AZ Alkmaar. Ireland hero set for La Liga switch as Parrott said yes to Betis.’
