Real Betis seal deal for midfield signing

The brass at La Liga outfit Real Betis have this weekend closed an agreement for a fresh addition to the club’s midfield ranks.

Tha’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Nelson Deossa as the player primed to link up with Manuel Pellegrini’s squad.

It has of course long been common knowledge across the Spanish football landscape that Real Betis are on the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park with a view to next season.

This comes after Johnny Cardoso and William Carvalho brought closes to their respective stints in Seville.

Betis, in turn, had earmarked a whole host of midfielders from across the continent and beyond as potential additions.

And as alluded to above, late this week, a deal for one such option has been put in place.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Real Betis have signed all formal documents for Nelson Deossa to join the club until June 2030. $14m plus $2m add-ons fee.’

Deossa, for his part, is a 25-year-old Colombian midfielder, who is currently plying his club trade in Mexico with Monterrey.
