Real Betis consider Nottingham Forest star a ‘priority’ signing

The brass at La Liga outfit Real Betis have set their sights on a reunion with a former member of the club’s defensive ranks.

That’s according to market expert Santi Aouna, who points towards Àlex Moreno as the player in question.

Left-back Moreno is for his part currently plying his trade on the books of Premier League side Nottingham Forest.

Fresh off a season which saw him largely struggle for playing time at the City Ground, however, the 32-year-old has been hotly tipped for a return to his native Spain.

One such club long labelled as keen come in the form of the aforementioned Real Betis, with whom Moreno lined out between 2019 and 2023.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, then the Verdiblancos now appear primed to ramp up their pursuit.

As per a report from journalist Santi Aouna:

‘Priority target for Betis is still Alex Moreno, the left back of Nottingham Forest. Alex Moreno is open to come back to Betis.’
