Real Betis blow with Isco to miss Sevilla & Barcelona fixtures

La Liga outfit Real Betis have been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front late this week.

This comes amid confirmation that midfield standout Isco is in line for another incoming spell on the sidelines.

Isco is for his part fresh off his return to the pitch following a lengthy spell on the treatment table with a broken fibula.

In just his 2nd appearance since his comeback, however, the Spanish international was at the heart of something of a freak incident.

After being kicked by teammate Sofyan Amrabat en route to a 2-1 victory over Utrecht on the continent on Thursday evening, Isco was forced to limp off.

The former Real Madrid man required seven stitches to treat the wound opened up, ruled out of this weekend’s derby showdown between Betis and Sevilla as a result.

Not only that, but, as per a report from Mundo Deportivo, Isco is expected to sit out the Verdiblancos’ ensuing league clash with Barcelona, too.
