Rayo Vallecano agree personal terms with Leganés star

La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano have reached an agreement on the personal terms of a contract with a member of the attacking ranks at Leganés.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Juan Cruz as the player in question.

Winger Cruz has for his part taken his place centre stage in the Spanish media headlines for several weeks now.

This comes with Leganés’ relegation to the 2nd tier of Spanish football having given rise to immediate and widespread interest in his signature.

The 25-year-old, despite his club’s collective struggles, is fresh off an impressive campaign, which saw Cruz rack up eight goals and five assists in all competitions.

And as alluded to above, in the midst of a battle for the attacker’s signature, a clear frontrunner has this weekend emerged.

As per a report from MD:

‘Argentine winger Juan Cruz and Rayo Vallecano have reached an agreement in principle for his signing, pending a deal with CD Leganés. This was confirmed on Saturday, June 21, by the digital outlet ‘Terreno Rayista’, which guarantees that the transfer is imminent.’
