Barcelona move closer to signing Raphinha from Leeds United

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Barcelona’s next bid for Raphinha is expected to be accepted by Leeds United.

Romano has reported that Raphinha himself feels that his move to Camp Nou is now imminent. Barça’s next official bid for Leeds winger Raphinha, who is pushing for a move to Barça, will be worth €72m.

It was only last week that Chelsea were leading the race to sign the Brazilian winger. The player’s will to play for Barça has brought the Blaugrana club back into the picture.

Many thought that it was going to be Ousmane Dembélé or Raphinha but Barcelona want both players.

Dembélé is also close to renewing with the Catalan giants after months of speculation. He is set to sign a new two-year deal.

Raphinha’s dream is to play at Camp Nou. The deal is likely to be completed barring any last-minute complications. The 25-year-old is pushing Leeds to accept the bid, once it is submitted.

It is all falling into place for Xavi, who is close to getting the frontline he has wanted since the start of this summer.
