Raphinha sends public message of support to Barcelona teammate Ter Stegen after blunder

Barcelona star Raphinha has today taken to social media, to send a public message of backing to teammate Marc-André ter Stegen.

This, of course, comes after shot-stopper Ter Stegen was responsible for a moment to forget during Monday night’s La Liga meeting with Valencia.

With Barcelona a goal to the good and looking in control of proceedings, the club’s no.1 emerged from his goal, as Valencia’s Hugo Duro chased a ball over the top.

Ter Stegen comfortably reached the ball first, therefore looking in little danger of conceding.

Rather than take the safe option, however, the German international attempted a delicate chip over Duro’s head, which failed to come off.

Instead, the dink came back off the attacker’s chest, allowing him to slot home into the empty Barcelona net.

Though the mistake did not ultimately prove itself costly when it came to the result at Montjuïc – Xavi’s troops emerged 4-2 victors – Ter Stegen, for his part, was nevertheless left looking hugely disappointed with himself.

In turn, the 32-year-old will no doubt be highly appreciative of a message of support on Tuesday being sent his way.

Taking to his official Instagram account a short time ago, fellow Blaugrana star Raphinha unveiled a photo of he and Ter Stegen, accompanied by the caption:

“We are all human beings, but you are still the best”
