PSG to welcome back key attacker for Barcelona clash

French champions Paris Saint-Germain expect to welcome a leading member of the club’s attacking ranks back into the fray for their upcoming showdown with Barcelona.

That’s according to Le Parisien, who point towards Désiré Doué as the player in question.

Winger Doué for his part sparked panic at the Park des Princes earlier this month.

This came after the youngster was forced to limp out of France’s World Cup qualifying victory over Ukraine.

Ensuing reports confirmed that Doué had suffered a calf injury, ruling him out for the weeks ahead.

The 20-year-old’s status to face Barcelona in the Champions League at the beginning of October was in turn thrown into immediate doubt.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from France on Friday is anything to go by, then Doué looks set to be at the disposal of Luis Enrique in Catalunya’s capital.

As per Le Parisien, unlike attacking partner in crime Ousmane Dembélé, Doué is expected to be given the medical green light in time to face Hansi Flick’s Barca.
