At the end of the La Liga season, Diego Simeone will meet with Atlético Madrid’s Andrea Berta, Gil Marín and Enrique Cerezo to discuss summer signings and departures.
There will not be many new additions, although players will arrive in the coming weeks. AS report that Atlético still have Carlos Soler on their radar.
The 26-year-old midfielder from Valencia has a contract with PSG until 2027 and was on Atlético’s radar before he joined the French champions.
He has played for the Ligue 1 side, but has not been a key player. Soler has featured 25 times in Ligue 1, six times in the Champions League and three times in the Coupe de France. In total, he has six goals in 34 games and four assists.
Atlético are not in a position to spend big, but, according to AS, they could propose a loan deal for Soler with an option to buy at the end of the season.
The club will need to strengthen their midfield for the new season with Geoffrey Kondogbia potentially leaving the Metropolitano.
