Ligue 1 heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain have on Saturday been dealt a pair of blows on the personnel front.
As much has thrown the status of another two leading members of Luis Enrique’s squad into doubt for next week’s showdown with Barcelona.
The reigning Champions League holders are facing up to nothing short of a personnel crisis at present.
This comes with the likes of Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué and Marquinhos all condemned to the treatment table with respective ailments.
Safe to say, then, that yet further setbacks were the last thing which Luis Enrique needed this weekend.
But as alluded to above, on Saturday, this is precisely what PSG were forced to deal with.
En route to a 2-0 Ligue 1 victory over Auxerre, both Vitinha and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia were forced into premature departures from the action.
The former failed to even make it to half-time, before being followed in his early exit by winger Kvaratskhelia, with the Georgian understood to have picked up a hamstring problem.
Both players, as a result, are considered serious doubts to feature in next week’s fast-approaching Champions League meeting with Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.
