PSG boss Luis Enrique names the 7 Barcelona players who would start for his side

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has turned heads with his latest comments on Thursday evening.

This comes after the Spanish tactician openly named seven members of Xavi’s Barcelona squad who would slot into his starting XI in France’s capital.

PSG, of course, are currently in the midst of early preparations for an impending showdown with Barcelona.

The European heavyweights were pitted against one another in last week’s Champions League quarter-final draw, set to play out over the course of a seven-day stretch in mid-April.

Speaking during an appearance on social media platform Twitch on Thursday, a whole host of questions surrounding his side’s upcoming opponents were therefore put to the aforementioned Luis Enrique.

As much of course comes with Enrique himself have previously enjoyed great success whilst on the touchline at the Camp Nou.

And one particular answer detailed by the Spaniard, as alluded to above, has since piqued widespread attentions.

Asked which members of Barcelona’s squad he feels could force their way into the starting XI under his watch in Paris, Enrique, as cited by Andrés Onrubia Ramos of Diario AS, showcased little hesitation in responding:

“Ter Stegen, Araujo, Koundé, De Jong, Gundogan, Yamal, Lewandowski, without a doubt.”

“Not only at PSG, but also at City, Bayern, and Arsenal,” he added.

It remains to be seen how such comments will go down amongst the playing squad in France’s capital…
