The brass at Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain have agreed to pay an increased fee to Barcelona, for the signature of Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández.
This comes in an effort to maintain the good relationship between the two clubs behind the scenes.
Youngster Dro is of course all set to take his talents to France’s capital before the month is out.
After making the call to seek out a new club during the January transfer window, a whole host of clubs quickly expressed an interest in the signature of a player widely considered a star in the making.
It was PSG, though, whose proposal proved too good to turn down, with Dro understood to have verbally committed to the French giants’ project under the watch of Luis Enrique.
And if the latest word stemming from the media on Saturday is anything to go by, then an agreement between the clubs involved now appears closer than ever, too.
As per a report from market expert Fabrizio Romano:
‘PSG and Barcelona are closing in on the agreement for fee slightly higher than €6m release clause to keep good relationship.’
