Predicted Spain XI vs Morocco

Spain play Morocco in the round of last 16 of the World Cup later today.

La Roja finished second in Group E after suffering a shock defeat against Japan. Luis Enrique is expected to make a couple of changes to the team that lost on Thursday. Alejandro Balde will most likely make way for Jordi Alba, while Dani Carvajal will probably get the nod ahead of César Azpilicueta.

Aymeric Laporte is predicted to start with Rodrigo Hernández at the centre of Spain’s defensive line, while Marco Ansesio is expected to be back in the starting XI ahead of Nico Williams.

AS predict that Luis Enrique will field the following starting XI against Morocco: Unai Simón – Jordi Alba, Aymeric Laporte, Rodrigo Hernández, Dani Carvajal – Pedri, Sergio Busquets, Gavi – Dani Olmo, Álvaro Morata, Marco Asensio.
