Real Madrid host Barcelona tonight in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The big question mark is in the home side’s midfield. Carlo Ancelotti has Aurélien Tchouaméni, Eduardo Camavinga, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Dani Ceballos and Fede Valverde at his disposal, although the Uruguayan could form part of the attacking trio alongside Karim Benzema and Vinícius Júnior.
Ancelotti gave no clues yesterday as to who will play in midfield and against Atlético Madrid in the recent Madrid derby, he started with Kroos, Valverde and Dani Ceballos, and then took off Kroos and Ceballos to play Tchouaméni and Modric, who were then joined by Camavinga.
Thibaut Courtois will start in goal, and the defence will likely be made up of Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, Antonio Rüdiger and Nacho. Benzema is expected to be flanked by Valverde and Vinicius.
Real Madrid’s possible XI vs Barcelona
Courtois – Carvajal, Militao, Rüdiger, Nacho – Camavinga, Modric, Kroos – Valverde, Benzema, Vinícius.
