Porto & Brighton register interest in Celta Vigo star

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga outfit Celta Vigo is attracting transfer interest from across the continent ahead of the summer.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards Ilàix Moriba as the player in question.

Moriba, for his part, has spent the season to date on loan at Celta Vigo, from Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.

And following something of a hit-and-miss start to life back in Spain, the former Barcelona talent has since gone on to establish himself as a key figure at Balaídos.

All told, Moriba has racked up 32 La Liga appearances over the course of the campaign, growing into a dominant force in the middle of the park.

And such ongoing excellence, it would appear, has not gone unnoticed across Europe.

Celta Vigo boast a purchase option on their midfield loanee for the summer, which the Celestes board intend to activate.

But this has not stopped rival clubs from positioning themselves in the fray, with Marca, citing A Bola, having revealed interest on the part of both Porto and Brighton & Hove Albion in Moriba’s services, too.
