La Liga leaders Barcelona were on Saturday night subjected to a first defeat of the campaign in Spain’s top-flight.
As much came in altogether concerning fashion, at the hands of an Osasuna outfit who looked a level above the heavily-rotated Barca XI.
Amid a hectic recent fixture list for his side, Blaugrana boss Hansi Flick opted to shake up his line-up at El Sadar, throwing the likes of Ferran Torres, Sergi Domínguez and Gerard Martín in from the off.
And without Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, up top, and Iñigo Martínez at the back, the evening’s visitors looked an absolute shell of the side who have dominated Spanish football thus far this season.
Owing to goals on the part of all of Ante Budimir (2), Bryan Zaragoza and Abel Bretones, Barcelona were condemned to the wrong side of a 4-2 result.
Pau Víctor and Lamine Yamal notched the goals for the Blaugrana, but the damage had long been done on a night to forget for Flick and co.
