Photos stemming from the latest training session held by Spanish giants Real Madrid on Monday are no doubt set to spark excitement across the club’s fanbase.
This comes amid confirmation that a long-term absentee from Carlo Ancelotti’s squad has taken a significant step forward in his recovery.
The player in question? Éder Militão.
Defender Militão, of course, has not taken to the pitch since the opening day of the campaign, after suffering a ruptured ACL during a La Liga meeting with Athletic Club.
Recent months, though, had seen reports mount that the Brazilian was ahead of schedule in his recovery.
Speaking in a press conference last week, boss Ancelotti then went on to confirm as much, in revealing that he expects to have both Militão and Thibaut Courtois available for selection for the season’s run-in.
And, on Monday, efforts on the part of the 26-year-old towards precisely that took another step in the right direction.
This comes amid confirmation that Militão, for the first time, rejoined group training with the rest of Real Madrid’s squad.
Though the former Porto talent is yet to feature in full contact exercises, he is back with the ball at his feet, as can be seen in the photos below:
