A photo no doubt set to go down a treat amongst those of an Atlético Madrid persuasion has come to the fore online on Monday. The image in question showcases Julián Álvarez back at work in Spain’s capital.
Frontman Alvarez has of course seen his name dominate the media headlines across the La Liga landscape throughout the summer to date.
Amid ongoing efforts on the part of Barcelona to bring the Argentine to Catalunya, Alvarez has made clear his desire to depart the Metropolitano before the window slams shut.
Those in the Rojiblancos boardroom, on the other hand, have repeatedly reiterated that their star attacker is not for sale at any price.
Barcelona, meanwhile, have not yet been deterred, expected to mount one final all-out push for Alvarez’s services over the coming weeks. But as alluded to above, on Monday, the former Manchester City man has kept his word as a professional to his current employers.
Taking to the club’s official social media platforms, Atlético unveiled a photo of Alvarez at work at the club’s training base, in his first session of the summer following an extended break for the World Cup:
