A former member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid paid a visit to the club’s ground this past weekend.
The player in question? Marco Asensio.
Real Madrid, for those who may have missed it, rented out the Santiago Bernabéu to the NFL over recent days.
This came as part of the National Football League’s efforts to expand global reach.
A packed crowd of 80,000 in turn made their way to the Spanish capital, to watch the Miami Dolphins best the Washington Commanders.
And as alluded to above, in the stands for the event was a one-time member of Real Madrid’s frontline.
Taking to his official Instagram account in the aftermath of Sunday’s clash, Marco Asensio unveiled a photo of himself at the Bernabéu, accompanied by the caption:
‘Back in the Bernabéu. What beautiful moments we had in this stadium.’
Asensio, now plying his trade with Turkish heavyweights Fenerbahçe, spent nine years on the books of Real Madrid between 2014 and 2023.
