Barcelona are of course fresh off an outing to forget last night, condemned to an alarming defeat at the hands of Premier League outfit Chelsea.
After making the trip to Stamford Bridge flying high fresh off a 4-0 drubbing of Athletic Club over the weekend, the Spanish champions were brought crashing back down to earth by way of a 3-0 loss.
Barcelona, in turn, have slipped to 15th in the league stage table in this season’s Champions League.
Hansi Flick’s troops are therefore facing up to a likely place in the playoffs, amid ongoing efforts to book their spot in the competition’s knockout phase.
