Real Madrid star Dani Carvajal has turned heads across the continent on Thursday evening.
As much comes amid confirmation on the part of the defender of his efforts to lure an international teammate to the Santiago Bernabéu.
The player in question? Rodri.
Carvajal and Rodri, of course, are currently in the thick of international duty alongside one another, amid Spain’s ongoing efforts to clinch the Euro 2024 title.
Both have played key roles for La Roja, albeit with the latter, in particular, having continued to be lavished in praise, as, in the eyes of most, the game’s best deep-lying midfielder.
And, owing to such talents, compatriot Carvajal is of the opinion that the Manchester City man would slot seamlessly into the base of the engine room ranks at Real Madrid.
Speaking in an interview with Cope, as cited by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, on Thursday, Real’s defensive stalwart was not at all shy in confirming his active efforts to lure Rodri back to La Liga:
“I tell Rodri every day to sign for Real Madrid. I tell him every day to leave Manchester, that there is no sun there and to come to Madrid, that we need him. He tells me he has a contract… but he would be perfect for us.”
