An up-and-coming member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is suffering with a fitness problem.
That’s according to Toni Juanmartí, who highlights Héctor Fort as the player in question.
Youngster Fort, for his part, linked back up with the rest of new boss Hansi Flick’s squad in Catalunya’s capital on Wednesday, to kick preparations for the new season into gear.
Fresh off a hugely impressive campaign last time out, the 17-year-old is expected to play an even more prominent role in Barca’s first-team setup over the course of the season to come.
In turn, it will come as a blow for the Blaugrana faithful to learn of the stopper suffering with an injury problem.
As per the aforementioned Toni Juanmartí of Diario Sport, Fort was forced to sit out training on Thursday.
As much comes as a result of a ‘small injury’, which is expected to keep him out for the remainder of the week, and potentially into next week, too.
Though the issue is not in any way a serious one, it is concluded that:
‘The club wants to pamper him, avoid risks and above all repeat past mistakes.’
