Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has revealed the details of the message he sent the way of Real Madrid star Rodrygo in the aftermath of the meeting between the sides.

Real Madrid and Manchester City of course locked horns in the Champions League yesterday evening, at the Santiago Bernabéu.
When all was said and done, it was the latter who emerged victorious, by two goals to one.
Rodrygo, though, proved himself something of a shining light for the defeated hosts.
Amid a brilliant individual display, packed with quality and intent, the 24-year-old even managed to bring to an end his historic drought in front of goal courtesy of a fine first-half finish.
And such excellence did not go at all unappreciated on the part of the aforementioned Pep Guardiola.
Speaking to the media following the full-time whistle in Madrid last night, Man City’s legendary headmaster explained:
“Rodrygo? I went and told him how good he is. This boy is on another level.”
