Barcelona star Pedri has on Thursday evening added his name to an altogether exclusive La Liga club. This comes owing to his exploits in the Blaugrana’s latest outing.
Hansi Flick’s troops are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front. After making short work of Elche on opening day, Barca have welcomed Athletic Club to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash.
As things stand, the evening’s hosts find themselves headed for another three-point haul, boasting a one-goal advantage courtesy of a first-half strike from captain Raphinha.
The aforementioned Pedri, meanwhile, proved the architect for the goal, breaking free in midfield before slotting Raphinha in behind with a perfectly-weighted pass.
And as alluded to above, in the process, the Spanish international secured for himself a place in a four-man club in Spain’s top-flight.
As revealed by statisticians StatMuse, alongside teammate Lamine Yamal, Real Madrid midfielder Arda Güler and former Getafe standout Luis Milla (now of Como), Pedri is one of only four players to have racked up 10 or more La Liga assists since the start of last season.
