AS reports that Villarreal and Spain defender Pau Torres is unlikely to receive a proposal from Real Madrid this summer.
The highly-rated centre-back has been linked with a move to Madrid after a hugely successful season with Villarreal, who went on to win the Europa League.
The estimated value of Torres is €50 million. Owing to the coronavirus pandemic, Madrid don’t have the financial strength to make such an offer for the 24-year-old.
Despite many suitors, including Manchester United, Torres could stay at Villarreal for another season and enjoy Champions League football with his hometown team.
